Bhutan has been in my bucket list for a very long time

Bhutan has been in my bucket list for a very long time and finally I've managed to put a tick on it. I didn't know what to expect for this trip other than knowing it's the world's first carbon-negative country. Me and my friend depended on the already planned Bhutan itinerary by Soul Trips. The booking was assisted by Singapore team Ms Ugyen Dema of Druk Asia. She has been very responsive and patient to answer all my queries.

 

Soul Trips has arranged for us, a guide and a driver with the same name Sangay.  I named them Sangay 1 and Sangay 2, haha. My first impression on the very first day I set my foot in Bhutan is the fresh air and the hotels are dust free. 

 

Our guide, Sangay Khandu, is very informative and gave detailed history of the monasteries and places we've visited. He is also very patient and always double checked with us (2 aunties) if everything is fine. He is cheeky at times and liked to joke or tease me, haha. There are items which we need to help our friends to buy and he was able to help us get them without fail. He also helped us to take a lot of good pictures. 

 

The driver, Sangay Chedup's driving skill is very good and I'm impressed that he knows all the locations so well. The narrow and winding road at the mountain is quite scary but we trusted him 100%. He would also try to make a stop at certain areas whereby we could take good pictures of the scenery. Both the Sangay are extremely punctual. They are always 15mins early to pick us up to start the day. Am so glad that they can speak English very well. Thank you Soul Trips and Druk Asia. 

 

We've brought back a lot of good memories of Bhutan with so many nice photos to share.
