The guide and driver were wonderful and excellent
Hi Cipto,
It was nice experience and holidays in Bhutan, the guide and driver were wonderful and excellent. Scenery, culture and people are very unique and natural.
Accommodations were fine, as well as the food, however the food was very monotonous . Since the first day is normally either form BKK/ India and most of tourists are tired after flight and sleepless night (not sure if the flight is from India) in BKK, I just wondering if the itinerary on the first day can be more relaxing.
I was driven for about +/- 2 hours to the Chelela pass, followed by hiking 2 hours (2 ways) to and from Kila Goemba, phew..it was very tiring... The rests are nice and wonderful, especially Bhumtang. So green and spectacular. I did enjoy the hot stone bath in the Rinchen Ling Resort and the traditional fire place. You may put this as an option to the itinerary. The hot stone bath house is very clean and commendable, however, the shower was only come with cool water...brrbrr..you can imagine how cool it was during spring/ winter/ autumn..
But again, since we are used to so many food variety here in Singapore, food will be the favorite complaint for the tourists, especially breakfast. None of the hotel provides at least decent breakfast, so far the best is only Khang residency in Thimpu. Perhaps, when tourists arrive in Thimpu, can bring them to supermarket (as what Kinley did to me) to buy something like instant noodle, snacks, etc. Or you might brief the tourist on potential food complaints... surprisingly, they cook with chinese food taste and delicious...I also miss the picnic at the river bank and farm house lunch as well as dinner served in the farm house..
Another surprise is Tiger Nest in Paro, I did not expect that to reach there I needed to hike and trek about 2 hours....it was very tiring as well as life time worth experience..Another suggestion is to inform the tourist that there is flight from Paro to Bhumtang, so he/ she can opt to choose to fly if he/she wants to either one or both way to save time for traveling on the mountain..
Overall, I did really enjoy the trip, perhaps one day will be there again, especially Bumthang and East of Bhutan.
