We had an exceptional experience with Druk Asia /
Soul Trips for our
honeymoon trip to Bhutan. The attention to detail from our liaison Ugyen Dema with the tour arrangements was impressive, especially regarding requests to change up our
Bhutan itinerary and dietary requirements. The
accommodations in Bhutan organised were also comfortable and offered stunning views of the surrounding landscapes while the hospitality at each hotel was impeccable, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Our superstar tour guide, Tshering Dohji, played an indispensable role in making our trip so memorable. His profound knowledge of
Bhutanese culture, history, and religion enriched our experience immensely.
Tshering's storytelling abilities brought the ancient monasteries and dzongs to life, making us feel connected to the rich heritage of this Himalayan kingdom. His affable nature and genuine concern for our wellbeing were evident throughout the trip. He was always ready to answer our questions, no matter how trivial, and his proficiency in photography and video editing makes us wonder what this extremely talented man cannot do. Sangay Choedup, our driver, was equally commendable. Navigating the winding and at times foggy roads of Bhutan is no easy feat, but Sangay handled it with incredible skill. His safe and smooth driving in the midst of people and free roaming animals on the roads allowed us to take in the stunning sights without any worries. Sangay’s calm, friendly demeanor and his synergy with Tshering provided lots of banter making those long drives shorter than they would have been.
One of the highlights of our trip was a picnic in Ura Valley when both of them surprised us with a freshly baked cake and a DIY wooden knife to celebrate our honeymoon, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to our time spent together. We really could not have asked for better people to share this experience with. We are completely grateful to all at Druk Asia / Soul Trips whose professionalism, kindness and dedication made this trip one of best memories of our lives. Bhutan will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to returning to this enchanting land in the future.
