Owned by Punakha’s former Penlop, this hillside hotel enjoys broad valley panoramas. Rooms are clean, classic and comfortably furnished. The family-run warmth shines through in every detail.

The rooms are simple but comfortable and spacious with clean and plain bathrooms. Many have balconies and there are lovely views down across the river, the valley and the farmhouses and paddy fields in the other direction. There is a large dining area, a covered outside lounge, and bar where you can relax after a day exploring the Punakha valley. Food is a combination of Bhutanese, Indian and Chinese and most meals are served as a buffet.
