Tashi Tobgay and Thinley Dorji were our guide and driver respectively for our 10 days amazing Bhutan tour in June 24. They were attentive to our needs, accommodative to our requests like change of itineraries, food options, always opened and closed the car doors for us even though we told them we can do it ourselves. They are jovial and caring. Both of them accompanied us every steps, never once told us to explore the place ourselves and wait for us at the exit. Tashi has been patience with the historical explanation. They often offered to take photos for us and find the best spots even we didn't request for it. When we were trekking to the Tiger's Nest Monastery, they carried our bags and bottles of water, extended their hands/shoulders/arms for us to keep our balance as the routes are rocky and muddy. We slipped a few times but luckily unhurt cause they caught hold on us immediately. They also directed us to walk on easier paths. We noticed some guests walked on their own. Their guides were usually ahead of them. I was unwell during the trip. Thinley always reminded me to keep warm, driving at a slower pace to make the long winding car journey as comfortable as possible for me; whilst Tashi bought me medicine. They treated us like their family members, giving us their 200% attention. Without Tashi and Thinley, Bhutan trip will not be as memorable as it is for us. They have set a new high applaudable standard in the tourism industry. We are grateful for their hospitality and highly recommend booking Tashi and Thinley for your upcoming Bhutan trip cause you know you will be in their safe hands! Favourite: Gangtey Tent Resort: 11th month old resort. Heater on the floor and bed to keep us warm. It's their summer but the weather is cold for us. Local food: fried flowers and buckwheat noodle. Western Food: Beef burger at Willing Waterfall Cafe and pizza at Authentic Pizza cafe.
