Hi Sangay, Kuzuzangpo la! Overall it has been a wonderful trip! Bhutan lived up to its deserved reputation as a dream destination. We were awed by the beauty that surround and warm hospitality of the Bhutanese. Our driver, also called Sangay, is cheerful and very experienced. Our Guide, Kezang Wangchuk, is relatively new to the industry. He more than made up by looking after us very well. We appreciate his earnest demeanour and sincere ways. Hotels: Hotel Lobesa stood out as the most outstanding hotel amongst the 3 star hotels, in terms of accommodation comfort, service and food quality. I was freezing at Hotel Dewachen. The bathroom was freezing cold. There was no wardrobe or table for me to place my items. Hotel Norbuling is over rated on tripadvisor. The floor creaks, no ventilation in the room, cold bathroom, and there was a water outage in the morning. To be fair, the restaurant served decent food. Uma Paro is fantastic. It gets positive ticks in all areas. With the help of our club 21 membership, we were upgraded to a combo suite. The food was exquisite. Super Like! Meals: We had problems with local cuisine. This is no fault of the restaurants. Would appreciate less cheese and more simple stir fried veg. Druk Asia guides coordinate and therefore could suggest varying menus to help tourists from different countries to cope. Itinerary: Our guide was flexible and attended to our requests accordingly. He didn’t realize the importance of frequent toilet breaks until the 2nd day. For most travellers, toilets are star attractions. Bhutan could do more to make toilets easily available. The destinations were delightful and meaningful. Bhutan has lots to offer. The tour is good value for money.
